As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a residential community, you will greet residents and guests, manage entry points, verify credentials, and support badge and visitor access processes. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and document activity using a computer or tablet. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • A guard card is a must.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or visitors by following site-specific access control procedures and security-related protocols.
  • Control entry and exit at gates and/or access points by verifying identification, authorizations, and/or resident approval, and documenting visitor activity as required.
  • Monitor cameras, intercoms, alarms, and/or access control systems; report irregular activity and maintenance issues according to post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting on-site management and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations, and complete patrol and incident reports per policy.
