Security Officer - Overnight Front Desk
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Overnight Front Desk in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Front Desk officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will welcome guests, manage access control and/or badges, monitor cameras and alarm panels, and document security-related activity with clear communication. You will be a visible, service-focused presence, supporting store teams and visitors while helping to reduce incidents. Requirements
- Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and/or visitors at the front desk by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor entry points and lobby activity, greet and direct visitors, and support a welcoming retail and mall environment while helping to deter unauthorized access.
- Maintain visitor logs, issue badges or passes as required, and verify identification according to site guidelines.
- Answer phones and respond to requests for assistance, escalating concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services when needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken per post orders.
