About The Position

As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, screen visitors and vehicles, and keep clear logs while staying visible as a professional presence. You will communicate with site teams, respond to security-related concerns, and support a people-first, integrity-driven culture through teamwork. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license.

Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Possess a TSA issued TWIC.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Control access at gates and/or entry points by verifying credentials, issuing visitor badges, managing sign-in logs, and directing visitors, contractors, and deliveries to approved areas.
  • Screen vehicles, packages, and deliveries as required by post orders, completing required documentation and reporting unusual conditions to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, access violations, medical calls, and/or spill-related notifications per site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, and the perimeter, monitoring for suspicious activity, unsecured doors, and/or policy violations and documenting findings.
