As a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help support security-related operations by monitoring screening points, observing activity, and conducting routine checks of people and property entering controlled areas. You will stay visible, communicate clearly with employees and drivers, and document unusual activity. Requirements

  • Have 6 or more months of security-related experience.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to client personnel and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, screening protocols, and access requirements at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen associates, visitors, and deliveries as required, including checking identification and verifying authorization to enter restricted areas and/or controlled points.
  • Monitor screening and entry areas for unusual activity and help to deter policy violations by maintaining a professional presence and communicating expectations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and notifying site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas around the facility and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
