As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a cruise operations location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support guests and team members with clear communication and customer service. You will complete routine rounds, document observations, and respond to concerns with calm professionalism. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, crew, and vendors by following post orders, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a cruise operations location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of terminals, gangways, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas to help to identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
  • Control access by checking credentials, monitoring entry and exit points, directing pedestrian and vehicle traffic, and assisting with visitor processing as assigned.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with supervisors, port partners, and/or first responders when needed.
  • Complete written reports and maintain logs of patrol activity, incidents, and service-related interactions, and communicate relevant information during shift handoff.
