As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with staff, patients, and visitors while responding to calls for assistance and documenting observations. Requirements

  • The client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • This position is in a hospital setting where restraining individuals is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, coordinating with clinical staff, and contacting local emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards, suspicious behavior, and policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and support visitor management activities such as checking identification when required, providing directions, and documenting entries and/or exits according to location procedures.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs of daily activities, incidents, and patrol observations, and communicate key information to supervisors, site contacts, and/or responding personnel.
