As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will welcome associates and visitors, manage entry points, verify credentials and badges, and support security-related screening and documentation using a computer and/or tablet. You will stay visible, communicate clearly, and respond to concerns while helping to maintain smooth operations. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Control access at entrances and gates by verifying credentials, issuing visitor passes, maintaining sign-in and sign-out logs, and directing visitors, drivers, and vendors to the appropriate areas.
  • Monitor shipping and receiving traffic by coordinating check-in and/or check-out for inbound and outbound trucks, confirming appointment or delivery information, and communicating issues to site contacts.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and escalating concerns per site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, yard, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related hazards, noting findings and reporting them per policy.
