As an Access Control Officer at a leading tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor entry points, manage visitor access, and complete routine patrols while maintaining a visible presence that helps reduce security-related incidents. You will document activity, respond to alarms and/or requests for assistance, and deliver standout customer service through clear communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology, media, and/or telecom location.
  • Control access at entrances and other designated points by verifying identification, issuing and collecting badges and/or passes, managing visitor logs, and directing visitors to approved areas.
  • Monitor access control systems, alarms, and cameras as assigned, report irregular activity, and document security-related incidents per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and assisting with evacuations and/or shelter-in-place procedures as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, data and/or equipment areas as assigned, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized entry and support a professional site presence.
