As an Allied Universal Screener at a fast-paced tech and telecom location, you will greet associates and visitors, support entry screening and access procedures, and monitor assigned areas for security-related concerns. You will complete routine patrols, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter incidents, and communicate clearly with site teams. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a tech-focused location.
- Screen employees, contractors, and visitors for authorized entry by verifying identification, issuing and/or checking credentials, and performing required entry and package screening in accordance with site procedures.
- Monitor access points, alarms, and video systems as assigned, document activity, and report irregular conditions to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, completing reports and notifying appropriate internal and/or external resources as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
