As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and access concerns. You will greet tenants and visitors with strong customer service and clear communication while documenting activity. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by following Allied Universal post orders, access procedures, and other site-specific policies for a commercial property.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including parking areas, entrances, loading areas, and common spaces to help to deter unwanted activity and/or property damage.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other building systems when assigned, and document unusual conditions, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns for appropriate notification.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, contacting emergency services when appropriate, and assisting with site emergency response activities.
  • Complete required reports and logs, including patrol activity, incident details, and visitor and/or contractor activity, and communicate timely updates to site management and Allied Universal supervision.
