Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors at a government health services location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and post orders, and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, and help to document observations and actions taken per site guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to identify unusual conditions, unsecured doors, and policy concerns, and report findings to site leadership and/or dispatch.
  • Control access by verifying identification and/or appointments as required, directing visitors to appropriate areas, and helping to maintain orderly public spaces.
  • Complete required security-related reports, incident logs, and shift handoffs, and communicate status updates to site representatives and/or Allied Universal supervision.
