Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with strong customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • This position is located in a hospital setting where vaccines are required.
  • This position is located in a hospital morgue setting.
  • The client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to restrain individuals.
  • Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare/medical‐related field.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas and the exterior perimeter, observing for unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations and reporting findings per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating conflicts and requesting additional assistance as needed.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, assist with wayfinding, and help maintain orderly movement through lobbies, corridors, and parking areas.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate status updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
