As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with calm communication and customer service. You will respond to calls, document activity, and work as part of a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative, always acting with integrity while putting people first.

Requirements

Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
Be 21 years of age or older.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
Be able to meet hospital vaccine requirements.
Be able to work in a hospital morgue environment.
Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout interior areas and the exterior perimeter, checking doors, sensitive areas, and common spaces, and documenting observations per post orders.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating notifications to clinical staff and/or local responders as directed.
Monitor access points and public areas for unusual activity, help to deter unauthorized entry, and provide direction and assistance to visitors in accordance with facility guidelines.
Complete security-related reports, incident documentation, and activity logs, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
