As a Front Desk Officer at a major utilities location, you will greet employees and visitors, manage access entry, verify credentials, monitor activity from the lobby, and document incidents and requests with clear communication. You will deliver a welcoming customer service experience while supporting security-related protocols with integrity and teamwork. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in the job state.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
  • Operate the front desk by greeting and directing visitors, verifying identification and/or access authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining visitor and contractor logs.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other facility systems from the front desk, document observations, and report unusual activity per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site representatives and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Complete required reports such as shift activity logs, incident reports, and access control records, and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
