As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and assist shoppers and staff with clear, professional communication. You will document observations, respond to calls for service, and support a positive customer experience while living Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, associates, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and communicating updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout sales floors, entrances, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points, assist with crowd and queue management during peak shopping periods, and support loss prevention efforts by reporting suspicious behavior through approved channels.
• Complete required reports, incident logs, and shift handoffs, using radios, phones, and/or other approved systems to coordinate with store personnel and other assigned officers.
