As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a residential community, you will conduct routine patrols of streets, amenities, and entry points, staying highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will respond to resident concerns, document observations, and communicate clearly with your team while delivering a strong customer service experience. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and resident concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and notifying site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout residential streets, amenity areas, and perimeter lines to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance and lighting issues.
  • Monitor and control access at entry points as assigned, verifying credentials, logging visitor information, and directing traffic flow to support orderly entry and exit.
  • Complete detailed patrol reports and incident reports, communicate status updates via radio and/or phone, and coordinate with local law enforcement and/or first responders when directed.
