As an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to service calls with clear communication and a customer-first approach. You will document observations, support staff and visitors, and use teamwork to follow site procedures. At Allied Universal, we act with integrity while staying agile, reliable, and innovative.

Requirements

  • Have 2 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Be 21 or more years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and/or visitors by following site-specific procedures and Allied Universal post orders, and completing assigned security-related tasks.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services and/or site leadership as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, corridors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Control access at designated points by monitoring doors and entryways, verifying authorization as required, and assisting with visitor direction and check-in processes.
  • Complete routine documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift activity reports, and communicate observations and concerns to the supervisor and/or client representatives.
