As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support associates and visitors with professional customer service. You will complete routine rounds, observe and report concerns, and communicate clearly with site leadership. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and drivers by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas including entrances, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor access points and vehicle traffic, verify credentials where required, and assist with directing deliveries and visitor check-in according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, and coordinate with site leadership and local responders when needed.
  • Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity in written reports and/or electronic logs, and report maintenance hazards or suspicious conditions to the appropriate contacts.
