As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document activity, support access control, and assist staff and visitors with clear communication and customer service. Requirements

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a financial services environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications to site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, entrances, ATM and cash handling zones, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials when required, and document visitor and vendor activity in accordance with location procedures.
• Complete detailed reports on unusual events, alarms, and policy violations, and communicate observations to Allied Universal supervision and the location management team.
