As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with customer-focused communication, respond to concerns, and document activity with attention to detail. Requirements

  • A guard card and/or security-related license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and parking areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify irregular conditions.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and local responders as directed.
  • Complete access control and visitor management tasks as assigned, including monitoring entry points and reporting suspicious behavior and/or policy violations.
  • Prepare clear, detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations, and communicate timely updates to supervisors and/or client representatives.
