As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, customer-focused communication. You will document observations using a computer and/or tablet and collaborate with on-site teams to support daily operations. Requirements

  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, donors, patients, and visitors by following site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and security-related protocols, and/or assisting with directions and general information.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the healthcare facility, plasma collection areas, and exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or irregular conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and controlled areas, verifying identification and/or visitor authorization in accordance with site policies and applicable privacy expectations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support, coordinating with site leadership, and/or contacting emergency services when appropriate.
  • Document routine activity and incident details in written and/or electronic reports, and communicate timely updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
