As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and help to deter security-related incidents through a professional, visible presence. You will document observations, support access control procedures, and communicate clearly with residents, guests, and site contacts while providing welcoming customer service. Requirements

  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access guidelines, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting on-site management and/or public emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of residential buildings, common areas, amenities, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, gates, and parking areas by verifying visitor access, assisting with deliveries, and addressing parking concerns in accordance with site policies.
  • Complete daily activity logs and incident reports, communicate updates during shift turnovers, and promptly report maintenance hazards and/or property issues observed during rounds.
