As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced tech and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control and badging, respond to calls for service, and deliver professional customer service and clear communication. Requirements
- Be 21+ years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of offices, work areas, parking lots, loading areas, and perimeter points; note unusual conditions and report concerns per post orders.
- Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying credentials, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and supporting visitor management processes as assigned.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate with onsite contacts and/or emergency services as directed and complete required reports.
- Operate site communication and monitoring tools such as radios, phones, and camera systems when assigned; document patrol activity, incidents, and maintenance issues in logs.
