Job Description As a Security Officer - Patient Wing Patrol Driver in Cleveland, OH , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents while supporting patients, visitors, and staff with strong customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post, so you will also use a company vehicle as needed to cover the location. Requirements

  • Hospital vaccines are required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma and/or GED is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of hospital corridors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance or access concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including responding to alarms, assisting with de-escalation, and contacting clinical staff and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Control access at designated doors and checkpoints, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and document unusual activity according to post orders.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs, including incident documentation, patrol findings, and shift activity, and communicate updates to Allied Universal leadership and site management.
