Job Description As a Security Officer - Community Patrol and Access Control in Hagerstown, MD , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with team members and site leaders, assist with access control and incident reporting, and deliver a customer-focused experience. Requirements

Have 1+ years of security experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the warehouse, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and support operations by checking identification, visitor logs, and delivery driver information per site procedures, and directing personnel to the appropriate areas.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site contacts and/or first responders when required.
Complete detailed reports and logs on patrols, access activity, incidents, and maintenance concerns, and communicate observations to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
