As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support access points, respond to alarms and/or calls for assistance, and deliver standout customer service through clear communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, guests, and staff at a financial services location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating notifications per site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of lobbies, office areas, ATMs, parking areas, and the building perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points, verify identification and/or visitor authorization as required, and assist with directing visitors to appropriate locations while following site entry procedures.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, suspicious activity, maintenance hazards, and policy concerns using written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate updates to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
