As an unarmed patrol officer at a cultural institution, you will conduct routine rounds throughout galleries, offices, and public areas, staying highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents and support a welcoming guest experience. This is a driving post, so you will use a vehicle to patrol assigned areas and respond to calls for assistance. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, volunteers, and contractors by following site-specific procedures and access requirements at a cultural institution location.
Carry out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, galleries, offices, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor entrances and common areas, assist with guest wayfinding, and address questions or concerns in a professional manner.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical situations, disturbances, and suspicious activity.
Observe and report policy violations, property concerns, and maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
Complete shift activity reports and incident documentation with clear, timely, and accurate details.
Coordinate with site staff and/or local public services when needed, and communicate updates through established channels.
Support crowd management during services, events, and peak visitor periods by guiding foot traffic and helping to maintain orderly lines.
Check doors, gates, and restricted areas during patrols, and report unsecured access points or unusual conditions.
