Job Description As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver in Wooster, OH , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading healthcare location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with clear, professional communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements. You will document observations, respond to calls for service, and work as part of an agile, reliable team that leads with integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with clinical staff and/or facility leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of corridors, lobbies, parking areas and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow, assist with wayfinding, and report unauthorized entry attempts and/or suspicious behavior per site procedures.
  • Complete detailed shift reports and incident documentation, communicate observations to the appropriate parties, and support patient, visitor and staff needs within the scope of post orders.
