About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Driver in Nashville, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a utilities location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and document observations clearly. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements. You will also assist with access points and visitor flow as needed, delivering reliable service with integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach.

Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel, contractors, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and communicate updates to the appropriate contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of utility facilities, buildings, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
  • Monitor access points and controlled areas, verify identification and/or authorization as required, and document entries, exits, and deliveries per site procedures.
  • Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and daily activity reports, and report maintenance concerns and/or hazardous conditions observed during rounds.
