As an unarmed patrol officer at a government location, you will monitor assigned areas through routine foot and vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related concerns, and respond to incidents with calm, clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. You will deliver customer service while supporting a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government facility.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and notifying appropriate contacts per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and/or hazards.
  • Control access at designated entry points by checking identification and/or authorization, directing visitors, and maintaining visitor logs as required by site procedures.
  • Complete routine reporting such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift activity summaries, and communicate relevant information during shift turnovers.
