About The Position

As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a premier commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy requirements. You will support tenants and visitors with strong customer service, clear communication, and integrity, while working with a reliable, people-first team.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by carrying out Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a commercial office property.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, parking areas, loading and delivery zones, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor building access points, verify credentials when required, and assist with visitor and/or contractor check-in procedures in accordance with site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site management and/or local responders as directed.
  • Document patrol activities, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate relevant information to the oncoming shift.
