About The Position

As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver in St Paul, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and respond to security-related concerns to help reduce unwanted activity. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Bring strong communication and a customer-first mindset as you support patients, visitors, and staff while working with an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, corridors, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Control access by monitoring entrances and restricted areas, verifying credentials as directed, and directing visitors to appropriate check-in locations.
  • Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and patrol activity, and communicate relevant information during shift transitions using approved reporting systems.
