Job Description As a Security Officer - Patrol Ranger in Columbus, OH , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access points, respond to calls for assistance, and communicate clearly with employees and visitors while documenting observations. Requirements
- Customer Service Experience is preferred.
- Access Control and/or Badge Experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to onsite personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and controlled areas, verify authorization for entry, and direct visitors and deliveries according to location procedures.
- Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to location leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate.
- Complete routine reports and incident documentation, communicate shift updates to site contacts and incoming officers, and support security-related investigations by preserving observations and relevant details.
