Job Description As a Security Officer Patrol Security Clearance in Waynesboro, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, respond to requests, and communicate clearly with site teams and visitors while providing strong customer service. Requirements
- Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
- Possess an active Department of Defense Secret clearance.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
- Having a Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients at an aero and defense location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Control access to restricted areas by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and documenting entries and exits in accordance with post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services and/or notifying site leadership as required.
- Complete accurate reports and logs, monitor alarms and surveillance systems as assigned, and communicate security-related information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
