About The Position

As a Security Officer - Patrol Services in Albuquerque, NM, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced tech location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and assist employees and visitors with clear, professional communication. You will document observations using site technology and support incident response with calm customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a technology-focused location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate status updates to site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout offices, common areas, and exterior perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance or access control concerns.
  • Monitor access points and building activity by observing cameras and/or conducting visual checks, verifying credentials, and reporting unauthorized access attempts according to post orders.
  • Complete patrol and incident documentation, report hazards and/or policy violations, and coordinate with onsite teams and responding public services as directed by site procedures.
