As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control and respond to calls for assistance, while delivering polished customer service and clear communication to tenants, visitors, and staff. Requirements
- Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a commercial property setting.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas such as lobbies, corridors, stairwells, parking areas, and perimeter lines to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance or access concerns.
- Monitor access points and common areas for unusual conditions, verify credentials as required by post orders, and assist with visitor direction and tenant inquiries.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting observations, and coordinating with building management and/or public responders as directed.
- Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicate notable events, hazards, and/or policy issues to the site supervisor and/or property management team.
