About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Specialist in Nashville, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to reports with calm, clear communication. You will document observations, assist visitors and staff with customer-focused service, and support site procedures with integrity. At Allied Universal, you will work with a caring team that is agile, reliable, and innovative.

Requirements

  • Have 3+ years' combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience OR a college degree.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific policies, access requirements, and/or identification procedures at a government location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including parking areas and perimeter points, noting unusual conditions that may help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor entrances, gates, and/or common areas, maintaining a visible presence while observing for security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, and coordinate with site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and security-related observations in reports and logs, and communicate relevant information during shift transitions.
