Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will support daily operations through strong communication, attentive customer service, and a people-first approach. In this role, you will bring reliability, integrity, teamwork, and innovation to each shift while serving the public with professionalism.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting information through appropriate channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout government office buildings, public areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and observe foot and vehicle traffic while following site instructions for entry, visitor processing, and restricted area access.
  • Support day-to-day operations at the location by communicating with site contacts, providing directions and assistance, and completing assigned reports related to security-related activities.
