About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Sentinel in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support access awareness throughout the property. Requirements

Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Alarm panel experience is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to property management and/or emergency personnel as needed.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the building, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or maintenance concerns.
Monitor access points, observe site activity, and document security-related events, policy violations, and/or incidents through required reports and logs.
Assist with entry control, visitor directions, and general presence throughout the property to help support daily operations and help to deter unauthorized activity.
