About The Position

As a Security Officer - Patrol with Badging in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control and guest interactions, communicate concerns clearly, and deliver outstanding customer service to students, staff, and visitors. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, staff, residents, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations on campus in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and notifying site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of residence halls, academic buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and security-related systems as assigned, including checking credentials, assisting with visitor direction, and reporting maintenance or lighting concerns observed during rounds.
  • Complete routine reports such as activity logs, incident reports, and patrol checks, and communicate observations to Allied Universal supervision and/or site contacts.
