About The Position

As a Security Officer - Perimeter Walk Patrol in Dallas, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, respond to alarms and/or service requests, and document activity using a computer or tablet. Bring strong customer service and communication skills to a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and always acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial property.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and notifying site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of building common areas, corridors, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and property activity, including observing cameras and/or alarm indicators when assigned, and reporting maintenance concerns or unusual conditions to management.
  • Complete routine reports such as shift activity logs and incident reports, and communicate status updates during shift turnover to support consistent site operations.
