About The Position

As a Security Officer - Perimeter Walking Patrol in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support patients, visitors, and staff with strong customer service and clear communication, using technology as needed to document activity. Requirements

  • Have at least 6+ months of security-related experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Have customer service experience preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific security-related procedures, access control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance concerns for follow-up.
  • Respond to alarms, calls for service, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and directing individuals to appropriate areas.
  • Monitor and document visitor flow and restricted-area access, verify identification when required, and/or assist staff with locating departments and navigating the location.
  • Complete detailed incident reports and shift logs, preserve incident information for management review, and communicate security-related updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervisors.
