About The Position

As a Security Officer - Property Patrol in Georgetown, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a fast-paced tech and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a highly visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, customer-focused communication. You will document observations, follow site procedures, and collaborate with on-site teams to support smooth daily operations. Requirements

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by following security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior spaces, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter zones; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, assist with visitor processing as required by site policy, and help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and/or public emergency services when needed.
  • Complete required documentation such as shift activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs; communicate notable observations and maintenance concerns to the appropriate contacts.
