As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will assist with access control, communicate clearly with shoppers and store teams, and respond to situations with professionalism and care. Requirements
- Security Experience ‐ 1+ Years is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
Nice To Haves
- Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
- Lift More Than 20 lbs is preferred.
- State, County, or City Issued Security License is preferred.
- Ride a Bike for Long Periods of Time is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and guests at a retail mall location by following Allied Universal protocols, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken per site requirements.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout common areas, corridors, entrances, loading areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor activity throughout the location, including observing for suspicious behavior, unauthorized access attempts, and/or operational issues, and report concerns to site management and/or local responders as directed.
- Assist with access control and visitor guidance as assigned, including directing guests to appropriate areas, supporting tenant needs, and/or coordinating with property staff during special events or peak shopping periods.
