As an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points by verifying identification and badges, monitoring visitor and vehicle traffic, and documenting activity using computers and/or tablets. You will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents while delivering welcoming customer service. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Operate an access control post by verifying identification, managing visitor and contractor check-in and/or check-out, issuing temporary credentials per site policy, and maintaining accurate access logs.
• Coordinate entry and exit of employees, drivers, and deliveries by following dock gate and yard access procedures, confirming scheduled appointments, and communicating exceptions to site contacts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including dispatching notifications, documenting events, and supporting response partners as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, monitor cameras and alarm indicators when assigned, and report maintenance issues and/or unusual activity through required reporting channels.
