As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support access control and visitor flow, respond to calls for assistance, and communicate clearly with patients, staff, and guests while delivering a high level of customer service. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out Allied Universal and site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the healthcare location, including interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter, noting and reporting unusual conditions.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to clinical staff, management, and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, help to deter unauthorized entry, and assist with visitor direction and wayfinding while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Complete required security-related reports and logs, document incidents and observations accurately, and communicate pertinent information to oncoming personnel and site leadership.
