As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy retail and mall setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will greet guests, assist tenants, and communicate clearly with team members and site leadership. Requirements

• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, tenants, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail and mall location.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout common areas, retail corridors, entrances, loading areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, documenting observations, and notifying site management and/or public responders as needed.
• Monitor access points and public spaces, assist with queue and crowd flow during peak shopping periods, and report maintenance hazards and/or suspicious conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Complete routine reports and incident documentation, communicate clearly with leadership and/or local partners, and use site systems and procedures to support daily operations.
