Job Description As a Security Officer - Reception Desk in Reading, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Front Desk Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will greet patients, visitors, and staff, manage access and sign-in procedures, and monitor the lobby and entrances for security-related concerns. You will respond to questions, assist with directions, and communicate incidents to site leadership, bringing an agile, reliable, and innovative approach while putting people first, working as a team, and acting with integrity.

Requirements

  • Speak, read, and write fluent Spanish.
  • Have 1+ years of security experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Have customer service experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff at the front desk by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Greet and screen visitors, verify identification and/or authorization as required, issue visitor credentials per site policy, and direct individuals to appropriate locations within the healthcare facility.
  • Monitor the lobby and reception area via observation and available systems, help to deter unauthorized entry, and promptly report suspicious activity, hazards, and/or policy violations to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and assisting with incident documentation.
  • Operate phones, radios, and/or dispatch systems to communicate with Allied Universal personnel and site contacts, manage logs and reports, and support security-related administrative tasks at the front desk.
