About The Position

As a Security Officer - Reception Desk in Orlando, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a busy healthcare location, you will welcome staff and visitors, manage access control and badging, monitor entry activity, and respond to security-related concerns with calm, clear communication. You will represent Allied Universal with integrity and a people-first approach, supporting a caring environment through teamwork, reliability, and innovative problem solving while helping to maintain smooth daily operations.

Requirements

  • Have 1+ years' law enforcement experience or 2+ years' security supervisor/manager experience or 3+ years' security experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Greet and screen visitors, issue visitor credentials, manage sign-in and sign-out logs, and direct patients, staff, and vendors to appropriate locations while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Monitor access control points and security-related systems as assigned, report irregular activity, and help to deter unauthorized entry and/or tailgating.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including requesting assistance, documenting details, and completing required reports.
  • Answer phones, receive deliveries, coordinate with on-site staff regarding access requests and/or special instructions, and maintain accurate front desk documentation.
