Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Patrol the residential community, including common areas, amenity spaces, and perimeter points, to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor and document security-related activity, including receiving calls for service, observing cameras and/or alarm indicators when assigned, and completing reports per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate responders and/or site representatives as needed.
  • Support community rule compliance by communicating expectations professionally, assisting with visitor check-in and/or parking guidance, and escalating concerns through the established chain of command.
